Helionova (Ultrasun UK) Returns to 'Salon International 2008'

Helionova’s Managing-director Richard Warden first launched UV tanning equipment on the UK market at Salon International in 1977. Richard said, ‘31 years ago the Salon International exhibition was a great success and helped us to pave the way for the tanning industry as we know it today, as hairdressing salons were the pioneers of the sunbed in the UK’.
‘Over the years the indoor tanning market evolved resulting in beauty salons, tanning shops and leisure clubs heading the industry. Salon International was no longer the correct vehicle to promote indoor tanning. But now we are pleased to see that the industry has gone in a full circle and although the beauty salons, tanning shops and leisure clubs are enjoying success with indoor tanning, the hair salons are joining in again as they realize the importance of diversifying into this lucrative market which they started in the mid seventies’.
It was in the mid 80’s when Helionova last attended the event so why return after over 20 years? Richard says, ‘Over the last few years we have concentrated on the market as we know it, which has worked very well for us but the timing seemed right to launch our latest range of Ultrasun equipment at the Salon International exhibition. And we are very glad we did.
Salon International is one of the largest ‘hair’ exhibitions in Europe and has helped us introduce Ultrasun equipment back into the hairdressing market. We had a very successful show with lots of interest. In fact we have already booked for next year. After such a positive show I think Helionova will now become a regular at Salon International. It’s good to be back’.
